This is a Kachina doll. She is a protector of nature. On her head are little holes that carries water and the story of the earth. No one knows her name yet, but she is the guardian of the ocean. She can create waves with the fan she is carrying and make it rain when needed. She has a strong spirit and refuses to be forgotten.
Note: The materials I used for this artwork are found nature pieces.

<div><div><p>Maria is a Mother, Artist, Expressive Arts Practitioner/Coach, and an Educator. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual and Performing Arts at the CSU of San Marcos, and received her Master of Arts degree in Expressive Arts Coaching and Consulting from the European Graduate School in Saas Fee, Switzerland.In her spare time, Maria loves spending time with husband and three kids. She loves the outdoors, trying out new restaurants with her family, writing poetry and making art! </p></div>
